History of Camp Zion with Dale Stewart

Camp Zion, home to campers of all ages since 1946, has a deep-rooted and continuing history in Northern Door County. Located off Door Bluff Road, the campus is open year-round for camps and retreats. Dale Stewart, Executive Director since 1998, will share the origin story of this important site, the work of Camp Zion, and its future endeavors.

The 25th Anniversary Season features a retrospective of the Liberty Grove Historical Society, historical topics, local family history, and significant sites. A unique program will also be presented on the third Monday in June, July and August at 7 p.m. in the Museum Barn. These offerings are open to the public, and plenty of parking and seating are available. As always, the final program of the season is a site tour. Please join us in celebrating over 25 years of preserving and sharing the special history of the Liberty Grove community.

All LGHS programs follow a short membership meeting. Merchandise benefiting LGHS will be available. All programs are free and open to the public with plenty of on-site parking and seating.
