Monday, Aug 19, 7 pm: Mertha Fulkerson: The Arc and Legacy of an Exemplary  Life presented by Grandniece Jennifer Taylor.

Please join LGHS and Grandniece Jenn Taylor as she shares her family stories about Mertha Fulkerson. Mertha was Co-founder of The Clearing Folk School with Jens Jensen who influenced environmental preservation throughout the Northern Door. In some circles, Mertha is credited with saving the fledgling school after Jensen’s death. Jennifer Taylor promises us that there is so much more to this iconic Door County Artist, Educator, Preservationist and Environmentalist.

All LGHS programs follow a short membership meeting. Merchandise benefiting LGHS will be available. All programs are free and open to the public with plenty of on-site parking and seating.
