John Elliason (Moore/Scherb) Home

John Elliason (Moore/Scherb) Home

Monday, September 18: Annual Site Tour– John Eliason/Scherb Historic Home, presented by LGHS Members Bert and Judy Scherb. 4 – 6pm.

Imagine it is is 1866. You have come to a small community of Ellison Bay to purchase some property from a man who is its first developer, John Eliason. The steamship drops you off at the dock in front of his home. John welcomes you and invites you into his house to discuss the business of property opportunities in the area.

You too are invited to tour the historic Eliason home and grounds, which have been lovingly preserved and restored by LGHS members Bert and Judy Scherb, the current owners. Please join the Scherb’s during this rare opportunity to tour an iconic and historic Ellison Bay home. Picture the now Scherb home as it was in 1866 in order to appreciate the long history which led to the creation of this beautiful home it is today.

Please note: Parking is not allowed on Hwy 42. Check the LGHS Facebook page for parking options as the event draws nearer.
