History of the Rogers Family in Rowleys Bay with Myron Rogers

Samuel Ashbel (S.A.) Rogers (1841-1921) arrived in Rowleys Bay in 1876 and eventually purchased 4,000 acres of land around the Mink River. He also owned and operated an illustrious sawmill, a trading post, and an ice house in the bay. Myron Rogers will recall the deep connection his ancestors have to Rowleys Bay and the enduring legacy of the Rogers Family, which his great-grandfather began.

The 25th Anniversary Season features a retrospective of the Liberty Grove Historical Society, historical topics, local family history, and significant sites. A unique program will also be presented on the third Monday in June and July at 7 p.m. in the Museum Barn. These offerings are open to the public, and plenty of parking and seating are available. As always, the final program of the season is a site tour. Please join us in celebrating over 25 years of preserving and sharing the special history of the Liberty Grove community.

All LGHS programs follow a short membership meeting. Merchandise benefiting LGHS will be available. All programs are free and open to the public with plenty of on-site parking and seating.
